Coordinator

This person organizes the Little Lambs program, prepares curriculum and materials, maintains the room, recruits, trains and schedules teachers and helpers, teaches on a regular basis, and serves on the Children's Ministry Team.

Director

This person organizes a Worship Center, prepares curriculum and materials, maintains the room, recruits, trains and schedules teachers and helpers, teaches on a regular basis, and serves on the Children's Ministry Team.

Teacher

This person leads the singing, story time, craft, snack and other activities and is responsible to the Worship Center Director.

Large Group Teacher

This person teaches a Large Group of either 2^nd/3^rd graders or 4^th/5^th graders.  He/she is responsible for memorizing and presenting the lesson in a creative, engaging and energetic way as well as controlling the flow of activities (music, drama, video, teaching) during the Large Group time.

Time Commitment: 
10:45-11:45 on Sunday mornings on a rotating basis, as well as preparation time during the week.

Small Group Assistant

This person greets children as they arrive in the Small Group rooms and involves them in games or other activities.  Also, he or she watches for discipline problems and assists the Small Group Leader as needed.

Small Group Leader

This person leads a Small Group of 8-10 2^nd/3^rd or 4^th/5^th graders.  He/she is responsible for controlling the group in the classroom, hallways and Large Group time, leading the activities outlined in the Small Group guidebook, and building relationships within the group.

Time Commitment: 
10:45-12:10 on Sunday mornings, September – May, Holidays off (Many Small Group Leaders "job share" with another leader and lead half the time.)

Worship Leader 

This person, along with 2-3 others, selects songs and leads worship in Large Group (either 2^nd/3^rd or 4^th/5^th).  All Worship Leaders work together to lead the singing at the Children's Christmas Celebration.

Drama Team 

This group of people presents the lesson through drama to a Large Group of either 2^nd/3^rd graders or 4^th/5^th graders.  They are responsible for preparing and performing the drama as well as working with the Large Group teacher and Worship Leaders to present the Large Group portion of the Kids ROCK hour.

Large Group Producer  

This person is in charge of running the technical aspects of the Large Group program (worship music, lighting, drama sound effects, PowerPoint, etc.) and makes sure the Large Group time runs smoothly.  Extensive "technical" knowledge is not necessary and training is provided.

Coordinator (Head Counselor)

This person organizes the GEMS program, prepares curriculum and materials, recruits and trains counselors and helpers, and serves on the Children's Ministry Team.

Time Commitment: 
Approximately 6-8 hours a month

Counselor

This person leads a group of girls in Bible study, crafts, badge work and other activities and is responsible for developing a positive, supportive mentoring relationship with the girls in the group.

Time Commitment: 
2-4 hours, two Wednesdays per month

This person is responsible for leading a class of 5-15 children for three four weeks during the 5:00-6:00 pm discipleship series.  All materials are provided.

This person is responsible for leading a class of 5-15 children during either the 9:30 am or 11:00 am service.  All materials are provided.

Kids ROCK Small Group Material Coordinator

This person maintains the material file for either 2^nd/3^rd or 4^th/5^th.  Each week he/she is in charge of preparing materials and distributing them to the Small Group rooms.

Time Commitment: 
Approximately 1 hour per week.  Some prep work can be done at home, or more than a week ahead.

Kids ROCK Craft Coordinator

This person plans and prepares materials for crafts done in the Small Groups for either 2^nd/3^rd or 4^th/5^th.  He/she is responsible to gathering and organizing materials and providing groups with instructions and/or samples.

Creative Ability, Administration, Service, Organizational skills, experience and interest in crafts

Time Commitment: 
Approximately 1 hour per week.  Some prep work can be done at home or more than a week ahead.

Children's Ministry Supervisor

This person welcomes children and their families as they arrive for their classes, registers new children and shows them to their classrooms, watches the hallways during the assigned service, helps take children to the bathroom, and assists with any problems that arise.

Special Friends Mentor 

This person commits to assisting one special needs child during their time in Children's Ministry.  This person helps the child participate in the regular group activities if possible, or assists the child in alternate activities.
